We've been loving different producer's iterations of Chenin Blanc from the organic Two Terraces vineyard in Hawkes Bay. This one leans into a rich but dry style very comfortably. There's plenty of flavour - florals, peach, kiwifruit, lime, wet stone and a gingery spice. It's beautifully weighted and textured in the palate, with Chenin's signature clean, mineral acidity to finish. Fruit was hand picked and whole bunch pressed into oak puncheons for wild yeast fermentation. This is very giving Chenin Blanc that offers extremely good value.

Dan Brennan of Decibel explores the region of Hawkes Bay with a diverse range of wines. From fun and quaffy, to serious and structured, he successfully highlights the different varieties and wine styles that the Bay is capable of producing. Having tasted with excitiment in the US what New Zeaalnd was capable of producing, he moved here to make wine in 2007. With some wines already Biogro certified, he's working towards his full production being organic.
