LZ is a tribute to the village grape growers of the 1920's. A wine fermented in small concrete tanks with selected
tempranillo grapes from organic vineyards in the village of Lanziego. This wine is a pure expression of Rioja,
layers of bright red and black fruits with nice fine tannins, leaving hints of cherry cola nostalgia.
Telmo Rodríguez has been leading the small brigade of terroir-focused Rioja growers whose influences are being felt throughout the region.
Bodega Lanzaga represents a unique array of terroirs, many with old bush vines restored by him and his team. The wines he’s making from these vines are among the most acclaimed Spanish wines around the world.
